Early this morning, The Washington Post released an article from Taylor Lorenz that exposes the identity of the woman behind the Libs of TikTok account.
If your baseline is 70 million liberals, you're going to have a pretty tough time showing anything that's a numerically significant representation of liberals. Nearly the same would apply to conservatives. So you don't post anything???!!!
I post a lot. I just don't make broad generalizations, and I think we'd all benefit from doing so. So rather than Jordan Klepper pushing the narrative "all conservatives believe this", it should be "This conservative believes this". For Libs of TikTok, instead of "all liberals believe this" it should be "this liberal believes this"
To think otherwise is reductive and doing nobody any favors
Fair enough. And I certainly agree with your concluding comments that we have to stop all the polarization. What did you think about the stunt Taylor Lorenz pulled on Libs of TikTok yesterday? Not going in the right direction.
